A Trip To Belém

Very friendly, two sisters get to know, experience and admire the natural and cultural beauties of Pará, in a light, fun story written in typical cordel verses by Bebel Abreu. The publication was conceived during Leo Gasparine's cordel workshop, during DiaTipo Belém 2023, and if you read it out loud you will be teleported there. They say the heat is intense up here, But the truth is I felt fine. The sun beats strong in skies so clear, And this trip was a dream of mine. To cool my spirit, bold and free, I had a bowl of açaí, Fruit of that Amazon divine. How beautiful it is, Pará! Its forest, city and stream. Such richness and abundance here, Beyond the wildest dream. Its culture, generous and wide, In verse and prose is magnified Brazil in purest gleam.
