Published by Bertrand Editora, one of Portugal’s most prestigious publishers and one of the oldest European publishing houses, with a history spanning nearly three hundred years, this is an abbreviated selection of some of Fernando Pessoa’s most notable poems. It consists of writings by Pessoa himself and three of his most prominent heteronyms: Alberto Caeiro, Ricardo Reis, and Álvaro de Campos. All of the poems and texts have been translated from Portuguese into English by Calvin Olsen, an internationally published poet and award-winning literary translator who currently teaches at Ohio State University.
